At The Altenheim, our Interdisciplinary team focuses on the wellbeing of each individual person by establishing the appropriate level of care for each resident. Our Interdisciplinary Team of Nursing, Dietary, Activities and Social Services help the resident to meet their goal by developing a plan of care designed with one specific individual in mind; your loved one.



In our capacity as long term care specialists, we believe continuing education is a fundamental component to achieving the highest standard of care for our resident’s. We continue to educate our staff in areas of compliance, comprehensive care plan development, Activity and Psychosocial Programming in order to provide the best quality of life for our residents.

We believe in operating our community with sufficient staff. The nursing to resident ratio is one nursing member to every six resident’s. Our entire support team is employed by The Altenheim with minimum staff turnover.

A small community with an average population of forty residents promotes a “family” atmosphere where staff knows the resident’s and their families by name.

The Altenheim is situated in the Highland’s surrounded by a park like setting with walking paths, gardens and peaceful nature.

At The Altenheim, there are no application fees.

Our health services come with no additional monthly fee.
